This policy explains, in plain English, what personal data we collect when you visit our pages, join our email list or buy the book, why we do it, who helps us, and what your rights are.
The controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Felix Richter, trading as NOW YOU LEAD Academy, Estrada do Tranqual 54, 9350-030 Campanário, Madeira, Portugal. Email: felix@nowyoulead.academy. We have not appointed a data protection officer.
Our landing pages are hosted on GetResponse. When you open a page, technical data is processed so the page can be delivered and kept secure: IP address, date and time, browser and device information, and the page you came from.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
If you sign up, we store your email address (and your name, if you give it), the time of sign-up and your confirmation. We use GetResponse to send emails and to see in general terms whether emails are opened and links are clicked, so we can improve them.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Customers may also receive emails about the product they bought and related offers from us, which you can stop at any time.
Unsubscribe: every email contains an unsubscribe link, or just email us. Once you unsubscribe, we stop sending newsletters.
Our pages use the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Facebook/Instagram). It records these events: PageView (a page was viewed), Lead (you signed up), InitiateCheckout (you started checkout) and Purchase (you bought). Meta uses this, together with cookies and device data such as your IP address and browser information, to measure how well our ads work and to show our ads again to people who visited our pages.
Legal basis: your consent where required by law (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the Portuguese rules on cookies and similar technologies). Where consent is required, the Pixel only runs after you agree, and you can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. For the collection and transfer of this data, we and Meta are joint controllers; Meta's own processing is described in Meta's privacy policy: facebook.com/privacy/policy.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives the data needed for the payment, such as your name, email, card or other payment details and billing country. We do not see or store your full card details. From Stripe we receive your name, email, the amount and the payment status.
Legal basis: performing our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legal obligations under tax and accounting law (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). Stripe also processes data under its own responsibility, for example for fraud prevention: stripe.com/privacy.
After purchase you get access to our community on Skool. The e-book and the 3 free gifts (audiobook, 8 Secret Lessons, G.Y.S.T. Score) are delivered there. Skool processes your account data (name, email, profile, password) and what you post or share in the community. Other members can see your profile and posts.
Legal basis: performing our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Skool's own processing: skool.com/legal.
We use your message and email address to answer you and, for example, to handle a refund. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.
Only the service providers named above (GetResponse, Meta, Stripe, Skool), each for the purpose described, and, where legally required, tax authorities and our accountant. We do not sell your data.
Some of these providers, or their group companies and sub-processors, are based in the United States. Where data is transferred to the US, the transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework if the recipient is certified under it, or otherwise on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 45 and 46 GDPR).
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can object to direct marketing at any time. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing that already happened. To use any of these rights, email us at felix@nowyoulead.academy.
You can complain to a data protection supervisory authority. In Portugal this is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), www.cnpd.pt. You can also contact the authority in the EU country where you live or work.
You don't have to give us any data to read our pages. To join the email list we need your email address; to buy, we need the details requested at checkout. We do not use automated decision-making that has legal effects on you.
We update this policy when our services or the law change. The current version is always on this page.
